I still cannot believe how quickly this summer has flown by! Ravi and I finished our final day at Confluent Medical on Friday, even though it felt like we had just arrived. We learned so much in our internship and had a lot of fun, between the projects we had and the people we met, it was definitely one of the best professional experiences I have had. I got to be hands on with an upcoming manufacturing process to the CR location, which was probably the highlight of my internship. I worked closely with my mentor to perform characterization of the Limflow catheter which included building samples and testing them – the most fun part of engineering (in my opinion). Being able to see the device grow from iteration to iteration and being able to see the work I did contribute to the company was amazing! I am so sad that my experience is over but I am so thankful for all of the ways it helped me grow in just 2 short months.

Last weekend we visited Arenal/ La Fortuna for our last big trip as a group and while we did have a really good time, this weekend we decided to take it slow and stay in SJO. The girls and I booked a cheap airbnb just to get out of the hostile but not do anything too crazy. We spent the day at La Sabana, had a picnic and just relaxed and caught up about our experiences this Summer. Tonight we ordered takeout and are going to watch a movie – total girls night! Yay! Nothing too exciting, but sometimes these weekends are the best kind.

For the upcoming week, I will get to explore San Jose a little more. I plan on finishing all of the things to do on my touristy list for the area. Trying coffee shops, taking tours, and finally visiting the museums near are a few of the things I would like to do. I am getting so sad thinking of having to leave all of the friends we have made here, but I am also getting so excited to dive into the graduate program! I am also going to miss getting to pet all of the stray dogs… but at least I get my puppy back in a week!
