Hello! I am Hannah Delatte, I graduated in May of 2022 from Louisiana Tech University in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in electrical engineering. I did undergraduate research on micro-bio sensors used to track neurochemicals real-time in the brain. We used this research to study trends in neural activity surrounding seizures or epileptic episodes in rats! I loved learning about creating these sensors to do specific tasks or measure specific chemicals, and I would love to do similar research again one day. I have been working as a Clinical Engineer/ Biomedical Equipment Technician for a local hospital for a year and I am excited to meet everyone in GMI. Working with preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment has really helped to better my understanding of current obstacles in the biomed industry, and I am excited to explore more needs finding to even better understand the past, present, and future of medical innovation.
