I graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in May 2017. My passion for global health stemmed from my service trip down in the Dominican Republic a few years back, where I learned that immersing myself in the culture gave me a better understanding of the underlying issues of a community as opposed to just hearing it through the news. This, along with my hands-on mentality and experience through my senior capstone project, has given me the proper introduction into the medical technology industry that I hope to make an impact within. I am extremely excited to be joining the GMI cohort this year to continue developing my knowledge of the industry while simultaneously applying it to projects that can really make a huge difference to those around the world!
