I am Malcolm Williams. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, and I obtained my bachelor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma in Biomedical Engineering. During my undergraduate I was a Henderson Scholar, OG&E Positive Energy Scholar, and created a multicultural fashion show on campus. Outside of academics I love to stay active through sports like pickleball, swim, and weightlifting. I enjoy building and nurturing the connects of the mentors and friends I have made so far.

Throughout my college career I have developed the skills of product prototyping, coding, electrical circuits, and 3D modeling. However, some skills that I would like to develop during my time at the summer experience are related to working in communities. I want to learn how to enter in an unfamiliar community and identify medical related needs. Additionally, I want to be able to sort through their needs to identify the most pressing issues.

After this summer experience I hope that my future self looks back and finds that he has built a deeper bond with the other GMI students. I also hope he sees a growth in his ability to apply learned knowledge through this experience and undergrad to real world problems.
