Hi everyone!!! Its officially been 9 weeks in here in Brazil but if I’m being honest it has not felt like 9 weeks. I genuinely have no idea where the time has gone, I guess everyone was right when they said time flies by when you are having fun!
This week has definitely been the busiest so far. It primarily consisted of constant meetings with different department heads to either present our findings or to conduct another round of interviews for our CITEC observations. However, the highlight of this week was our final presentation, which we completed this past Friday. I’ve never been a fan of presentations, but I think this past one was my best presentation so far. I think the combination of genuine excitement for the work we have done so far and the people in the audience who have shown us nothing but encouragement really made this presentation all that it was.
As we enter our last week here in the hospital and things begin winding down, it has made me realize just how much we have truly done in such a short amount of time. I think this experience has been such an amazing way to begin my master’s journey!
On a slightly different note, I uncovered two new contenders for the best coffee here in Barretos. We have already ranked IRCAD cafe, Fofocaria Cafe, Cafe Camilo, and Bona Vita Cafe. This weekend I tried some Iced Coffees from Cafe Camilo and from Beavers … here are the new Rankings
