This week was focused on a Friday presentation in which we would present all the work we had accomplished here at the hospital. In order to prepare for this presentation, we presented the individual projects to the Hospital de Amor counterpart associated with that project. This allowed us to get practice while also ensure that any issues could be identified. Additionally, we did run through the presentation in the room we were going to present in. This allowed us to go into Friday very prepared and ready. We are happy to report that the presentation went well. There was a very good turn out to the presentation, and we had a decent amount of interest in the projects. Lastly, we attempted to do a staining test with the Automatic H&E Stainer device; however, there was some slight issues with the staining protocol. We plan to make changes, readjust, and test early this week. The last things we need to finish up are some reports, creating a troubleshooting document for the automatic stainer, do a few staining tests with the device, and finish a Barretos Brazil travel guide. I am excited for this last week to finish up all the project we have been working on, but I am also sad to leave Brazil.
