Hi Everyone! After a hard working week, we finally decided to plan a beach trip. I was especially excited because Costa Rica is renowned for its stunning beaches. We chose to visit the famous city of Manuel Antonio. But first, as is tradition in my previous blog posts, let me share some exciting updates from my work at Confluent.

This week at Confluent, I ventured beyond my usual projects to explore how other teams operate. I gained valuable insights into the manufacturing department, learning about the intricacies of packaging, labeling, and the logistics of shipments. Given that we produce medical devices, every department must maintain comprehensive documentation detailing each product’s specifics. This often involves producing and distributing around 250 copies of documents throughout the building! I also learned about client interactions, focusing on fulfilling their requirements and product specifications. Once documentation is completed, I discovered how to submit inspection plans through our system. Though it may seem straightforward, the process is meticulous, requiring details such as the reviewerโ€™s list, a thorough description and scope of the document, and various checklists.

Finally, my adventures led me to the beach. My friends and I spent a two-day weekend in Manuel Antonio, where we enjoyed both the public beach and the Manuel Antonio National Park, which also has its own beautiful beach. The public beach was bustling with activities like parasailing, beach volleyball, and surfing. Unfortunately, rain dampened our fun on the first day. The next day, however, we visited the National Park, which became one of my favorite experiences in Costa Rica. The park was like a scene from a postcard, teeming with wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, crabs, and fish. The beach there was breathtaking, with shimmering sand under a clear blue sky. The sun’s rays made the water look even more inviting. My friends taught me how to do front and back flips in the water, and after a few tries, I finally got the hang of it. We also had a blast swimming with the waves, leading to some playful accidents but lots of laughter. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

We also indulged in some delicious Costa Rican cuisine at a nearby local restaurant. The food was a highlight of the trip, featuring traditional dishes like Mahi Mahi. Each meal was a delightful blend of flavors, showcasing the rich culinary culture of the region.

Costa Rica continues to amaze me with its natural beauty, vibrant culture, and the warmth of its people. I can’t wait to explore more of what this incredible country has to offer!
