Hello everyone! My name is Korie Rudin and I just recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Biological Engineering. To continue my education, I will be obtaining my Masters in Bioengineering in Global Medical Innovation.
A few things about me:
- I have lived in Georgia my whole life
- I have played several sports including soccer, lacrosse, swim, flag football, and ultimate frisbee
- I love being in the outdoors and going on hikes
- Unpopular opinion: I don’t like strawberries or cheese
- My favorite tv shows are New Girl, Psych, and Suits
I went on a vacation to Costa Rica with my grandparents and sister several years ago so I was very excited at the opportunity to go back. The landscape is very beautiful and I’m looking forward to exploring the volcanoes, mountains, and waterfalls with the other GMI students!

This summer, I will be a field engineer intern at Meditek. I will be traveling around Costa Rica to various hospitals and clinics to apply corrective and preventative maintenance on their devices. I am very excited to gain exposure and experience to a wide variety of medical devices!
