HI!! Early post coming in because we are planning a weekend trip to Manuel Antonio this weekend! We plan on leaving Friday around 6:30 and coming back Sunday night. I am so excited because although we have been here for three-ish weeks we really haven’t done a large amount of touristy things – so this was due.
One semi-touristy thing the girls and I did Sunday morning was visit the local butterfly garden. It was a sort of small but extremely beautiful area, and there were butterflies floating around absolutely everywhere! I love stickers and I was able to finally get one here, of course of a butterfly. The flowers and plants inside and out were absolutely stunning, and they even had a trail leading down to a creek in the beck. On the trail we were able to see more beautiful plants and an iguana which was WAAYY larger than I thought it would be. It was sort of muddy from the daily raining so we got quite filthy on the trail but it was so worth it! Afterwards we stopped at a little lunch place and I tried falafel for the first time and I didn’t hate it soo that’s a win I guess.
In other news – this was my second week as an intern for Confluent Medical and I am actually past trainings and paperwork and able to be an “Engineer”. I am working on characterization of one of the components in the project I am working on. It has been fun so far even though it is very tedious. I am basically building samples just to break them. Testing different methods and different specifications to maximize our products effectiveness. And of course the paperwork and meetings that come along with the fun stuff, haha. My team has been so patient with me learning about the project (and learning Spanish) and I could not be more grateful for them! They have made my first two weeks absolutely amazing.
I can’t wait to dive deeper into my project and I can’t wait for the beach this weekend! Hopefully next blog post is filled with lots of fun pictures and memories!
