I graduated from the 
University of Pennsylvania in May 2017 with a B.S.E in bioengineering. Before I decided to explore this field, I was always interested in medicine and new medical technologies. Through my senior design project and a clinical preceptorship in the spring of my senior year, I got a taste of the design process for medical devices and the role of engineering in advancing healthcare. I hope to build on these experiences further through the GMI program to become a better engineer, learn more about the medical device industry, and make a global impact on healthcare.
