Born and raised in Brussels Belgium, I was immediately drawn to the GMI program for its global focus. In high school, I loved science and math, which led me to earning a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in May 2018. I find the design and implementation of medical devices to be extremely interesting, and within the program, I plan to take on projects focused towards global health. Ultimately, I envision a career which helps to bridge the communication between engineers, doctors, and industries. I am excited to join this year’s GMI group and expand my knowledge on the global outlook of medical devices.
