This past month has been extremely busy, and I’ve been learning so much! All of our classes have picked up pace, and I’ve gotten into a groove with all of my projects.

Most of my time and energy has been spent working on MilkyWaves. I’ve been focused on redesigning the circuitry for the project, and it’s required me to learn a new program and some new skills at the OEDK. I will be printing a circuit board which will make it much easier to mass produce the device, and I’m really excited to see how this turns out!

The Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneurship class has been moving more into the business side of innovation, so this has been a refreshing change of pace from the classes that I’m used to. This is one of the first classes in which I’ve been able to learn some of the more nitty gritty details of financial modeling. Working with the MBA students has been really beneficial because they have more understanding about these topics, and they’ve been a really valuable resource for our project.

In keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving coming up this week, I’m feeling especially thankful for the GMI program and all of the opportunities I’ve been given over the past six months. I can’t believe how much I’ve been able to progress since beginning this program, and I am excited to keep moving forward!
